SwiftKit is a client that is used by approximately 40,000 RuneScape users daily, and that count is slowly rising. While that count is impressive, we beleive we have room for improvement as there are a significant number of users who are not in the loop, due to technical or personal reasons. We believe we can change this with a client we have in development, simply, called SwiftKit FF.

SwiftKit Firefox will be an extensive addon which you can load into Firefox which can, and will assist RuneScape users, while keeping within a browser they feel comfortable with. It will be similar to SwiftKit RS, but with subtle differences, ones which we think our users will like.

The biggest will be that it's multi-platform. Because Firefox is able to run on Windows, Mac, and Linux, you will be able to use this version of SwiftKit on your favorite operating system now! We've had hundreds upon hundreds of requests to make a client that will run on a Mac or on their Linux distro, and now you will be able to.

The second feature we hope to aim for is it to be light-weight, yet be full of tools and other goodies to make your RuneScape experience all that much easier. Running it through Firefox will hopefully be easy on your resources, and be able to enjoy RuneScape without having nasty lag. A fast computer is a happy computer.

The last feature is being in the comfort of your own browser. A lot of our users have, understandably, employed caution over third party applications and programs. SwiftKit FF updates will be distributed through Firefox's content distribution network which will ensure you have a secure source for updates, and put troubled user's minds at ease. Running it through a browser will help ease some nervous first-timers to the SwiftKit brand, and allow them to bask in the glory that is the toolkit.

This, coupled with the development of SwiftKit MS by Strider3282, is a fantastic development in the brand, as we will be able to improve our products and reach out to a much wider audience than we could with SwiftKit RS.

Currently development for this addon is in it's early stages, still under much design. To give a very rough estimation and prediction, an Open BETA release might be pushed out by the beginning of August 2009. This date is arbitrary, and might end up getting changed.

All of us here are Bluelight Dev would like to show our optimism for the 2009 year, and hope you stick with us while we get these fantastic products out to the masses.

You can discuss and view progress of SwiftKit FF here.
